INFO ABOUT SA WINES

Simonsig’s social responsibility policy is to improve our surrounding environment by investing financial resources and providing skills and leadership training.

Simonsig’s most viable social upliftment initiative, Reach for Gold, is a non-profit scheme acknowledged by the Western Cape Department of Agriculture and headed by a group of permanent farm workers.

Funds are raised through an innovative roll-on-lawn project for which the profits earned are put back into the community, contributing towards a Multi-Purpose Centre and day care for pre-school and school-going children whose parents are employed by Simonsig. A qualified teacher assists the children with their homework and a small library encourages literacy and disciplined learning.Future goals include providing financial support to parents for annual school fees, free transport to and from schools and the establishment of study bursaries.
